Have You Thought About Why Having  Your Personal Brand  Might Be Important?

What can you do to rise above the millions of sites online and be seen and more importantly remembered.

Over the last 2 years I have been an apprentice to this Internet marketing world and I think what has stuck me the most is the importance of having an image or brand that will be remembered by the viewer when they flick through the gazillions of social media and search content available to them at the click of a mouse.
The ones I have remembered well have been the ones that have personally associated themselves with either a company brand/ logo/image or a catch phrase.

So I ask you, Do I think that having your personal brand is important to your business? I say,Hell Yes!

I came across this video while doing some research on the very topic of personal branding .This video is both fantastically done and also hits home on the importance of color in your personal  brand so before we carry on enjoy the video .

Branding can be both simple and still powerful take the Nike symbol for instance .It was shown to a tribe in a remote South African village who identified it as being Nike,Now if that isn’t global brand recognition I don’t know what is.

Steps To Creating Your Personal Brand

  • Think about how you want your peers to perceive you.You ultimately have control of the content and they way you present yourself and your personal  brand to the world.What do you stand for and believe in.This will ultimately become the foundation for your  own personal brand.

Select Your Area Of Expertise.

  • What is it that you want to achieve to make your brand unique.What  do you want to be remembered for? eg No1 Adwords Expert,Top Seo Advisor,Expert On Social Media

Create A Want.

  • Your goal is to have your clients think/believe that by choosing your personal brand that it will make a huge difference to their lives.This in turn will build brand loyalty and word of mouth advertising for you.

Create a catch phrase/statement or symbol that represents you and your brand.

  • eg Gold pine ……Servicing the industry for 35 years ,MacDonalds …..the big “M” , Briscoes ………you’ll never buy better

Some of the most successful companies have those annoying little jingles that your subconscious ends up singing and remembering even when you really don’t want to.

My catch phrase for my personal brand is“Your shining light through the internet maze to success”and the logo I’m associated with is with World Wide Partnership which is the company I’m affiliated to. That’s what I want people to think of and remember me for.
The Next Step…. Your turn.Put your thinking cap on and start scribbling down some ideas on what you would like your personal brand to look like.Don’t worry it might not come to you straight away but believe me when I say  that your ever busy subconscious mind will quietly work away at it and when you least expect it a light bulb will go off and you will have it. Just plant the seeds …….

Just as an extra I have cut a video on how to use a personal brand (using a pic ,links and social media icons)in emails and auto responders using wise stamp .The first tutorial is a little long but well worth the time, the second is a brief one showing  how you can bring your brand through by simply personalizing   your auto responders
